JDRF Ride to Cure 2014 – Moira Rides Again!
Make a 100 percent tax deductible $50 donation (or more!) to my ride, and one of these beauties will be on its way to you. For you, for someone you love, for Easter … change the world and then shine as brilliantly as your bangle.
Thanks to the generous donation of a great company called Midwest Mermaid, anyone who donates $50 (or more) to my ride effort will be giving a beautiful, special Midwest Mermaid Signature Bangle Bracelet created by the talented Gigi O’Neil Golato.
This beautiful bauble features an anchor (because who doesn’t love the sea? And because we are steady on this course toward a cure!) and the inscription “143.” You can wear it and think of someone you love and care about. You can gift it to someone you love and care about. And btw: 143 is the code that Minot’s Light, the ledge lighthouse the hometown I share with Gigi blinks out 24/7.
And it gets better: on ride day, I’ll ask each of you to wear your bracelet, take a photo of you wearing it wherever you are in the world that day, and post it to a special site. We’ll all feel connected in that moment, in our dream of a world without Type 1 diabetes, and I’ll feel your love while I pedal away on my road to a cure. I can hardly wait for those photos to start popping up. I know they will keep me focused on the road in front of me—and the road in front of all of us.
Here is how it works:
Simply make a donation of $50 or more using my link and go “like” the Midwest Mermaid facebook page. In the comment section of my donation page (which is kept private), type in the address you’d like your bracelet shipped to. That’s IT! You get a lovely piece AND a complete tax write off … and a sparkly reminder how much I 1-4-3 you for supporting JDRF and my Ride to Cure.
Questions? Want to donate via personal check? Email me at email@example.com. Oh and one more thing: the color you receive (see photo) will be a surprise, but each is beautiful! So: Let’s go! Bling out today and help Turn Type One into Type None!
** Bangles are limited and will be shipped until sold out. We will let you know when they are no longer available; but a lack of availability won’t stop you from helping fund a cure will it?
